Después leeré una historia de punto de vista, una técnica estupenda para trabajar la gramática de forma intuitiva.
Bien, ¡empecemos!
Como sabes, siempre animo a mis estudiantes a escuchar inglés todos los días. Listening es una de las mejores formas de interiorizar sonidos, palabras y expresiones. Así adquirimos también nuestra lengua materna.
Además, escuchar un mismo audio varias veces ayuda a consolidar lo aprendido.
Sin embargo, algunos estudiantes se aburren. Es normal: al cerebro le atrae el contenido nuevo y la novedad.
Aquí tienes algunos trucos para mantener el interés cuando repites el mismo material de audio.
Intenta adivinar qué dirá el hablante a continuación. Al principio puede parecer difícil, pero cuando ya has escuchado el audio varias veces se convierte en un juego estimulante.
Concéntrate en la pronunciación de cada palabra, especialmente en aquellas que te cuestan más. Intenta percibir los pequeños matices de cada sonido.
Presta atención a la entonación de cada frase. Aquí no nos centramos en una palabra aislada, sino en la «musicalidad» de la oración: el ritmo, las subidas y bajadas y la música de la frase.
Si estás escuchando una mini-story con preguntas y respuestas, intenta contestar cada vez más rápido. También puedes probar a dar respuestas un poco más largas.
Mientras escuchas el audio, imita al narrador. Reproduce el material e intenta hablar al mismo tiempo.
Puede ser difícil, pero también muy divertido. Esta técnica se llama shadowing y requiere bastante concentración, así que conviene empezar con material sencillo.
Prueba a moverte mientras escuchas. Puedes caminar, correr, lavar los platos o hacer otra actividad. Cambiar lo que haces físicamente añade variedad aunque el audio sea el mismo.
Escucha con un amigo. Compartir la tarea y comentar el tema principal puede hacer la práctica mucho más entretenida. Seguramente perderás la noción del tiempo.
Como ves, repetir el mismo audio no tiene por qué ser una tarea aburrida. Utilizar algunas de estas técnicas te ayudará a interiorizar mucho mejor los patrones del inglés.

Max was a very enthusiastic and successful English student. He repeated every audio one hundred times! Sometimes he got bored, so he tried to guess what was next in the audio. He was good at that.
Since he truly wanted to improve his pronunciation, he paid close attention to how the words were pronounced and, of course, the intonation of every sentence. He was full of tricks!
He really enjoyed the questions & answer lessons, and he tried to provide long answers once he noticed short answers became too easy.
He also used another fascinating method called the "shadowing technique." He tried to imitate the narrator repeating the exact words at the same time, paying special attention to the pronunciation. This process was fun but also demanding.
Every time Max had the opportunity, he listened to his favorite English audio lessons. He always carried around his mp3 player and walked for hours. Doing some exercise and learning English was an excellent combination!
